I wanted to share a short getaway today but unfortunately, that trip didn’t push through for the nth time. There has been a lot of drama going on over the weekend and the city also experienced some really heavy rains resulting to us staying home the entire weekend.
So, anyway, I just wanted to share these great finds I’ve discovered over the weekend (as a result of the typhoon). Black Friday and – gasp! – Cyber Monday deals are still around and with the holidays just around the corner, I’m pretty sure you’ve been thinking about doing some gift shopping.
Here are a few great travel-themed gifts you could give out to your kids. (I super envy them and kinda wish that the daughter was slightly older. No I take that back. We’ll wait out til she’s old enough to actually have some of these things.)
LITTLE PASSPORTS
For ages 3 to 12 years
Get your kids to explore the world and so much more. LITTLE PIM LANGUAGE LEARNING PROGRAMS
For ages 6 months to 6 years
I love learning a new language! While they say that not sticking to a particular language might confuse the kid, it’s actually much better to start the education early, when their brains are still like sponges. In the Philippines, kids are mostly raised multilingual – we learn our national language, English plus a local dialect or two. It can be pretty tough being a kid here, huh?
CONTINUUM TRAVEL GAMES
For all ages
Continuum travel games aren’t just for the kids but even for the kids at heart who love travel-themed games (or just want to while away the time while waiting to board the plane). A particular game that caught my attention is the 10 Days in the USA game where players get to travel around the country by plane, car or even on foot. The trick is to outsmart fellow travelers in order to make connections first and win the game. Continuum games also have a whole bunch of other games that are great for kids and families on the go!
