motivation

It all takes one little push to get things rolling and when the little spark is ignited, you would sometimes find it hard to stop yourself from doing it because it is too much fun. (Goes the same for both positive and negative things, no?)

In the past months, I have realized that you simply need to start to get moving to be able to do something at all.

A few months ago, for example, I had it all figured out – I plotted out my plans for revamping this blog from making wireframes to learning how to use WordPress. I was going to do it at the start of July. But, it never came. Then one day, I just started to actually download a pre-made theme and tinker with it and that has made all the difference. It’s probably not too obvious but this site actually uses the Sugar and Spice theme but so many things have been changed that that becomes hard to tell. In the coming months (I have yet to figure out when that would be), I plan to actually learn to make WP themes and plugins from scratch.

See, if you continuously wait out for the perfect conditions, the things that you have in mind will never happen. The perfect conditions will never come because there will always be one or two things that will not go according to plan. You just have to deal with it and find a workaround if you can’t fix it (haha now I talk like a programmer).

This has now become my motivation for almost everything I do right now. When we started out in investing, the first step had been the hardest since it required a slightly huge amount of money to get started. So, when we had the chance, the partner and I immediately set out to opening those accounts. Sticking to the plan is hard, yes, but since we committed to an amount that won’t be too hard us, it has become part of the budget every month.

There are a few other experiences in my life that I would love to share but can’t just yet, mostly because less than five people whom I personally know are aware of these things. Perhaps in the coming months, I will be sharing it with you.

You’d probably think that I’m bragging a lot about myself and my so-called accomplishments but I’m not. I just love to take real-life experiences as examples since they are the most convincing, right? Besides, thinking about the things that happened help me motivate – I can do it if I choose to! I hope you get motivated as well.

I’m also not saying I already have it all figured out because I’m far from that. In fact, there are other aspects in my life (weight loss, becoming active, doing business and so many others) where I wish I would just go, make a move, take the risk and see how it happens – but I still didn’t. It will come though because I will soon do something about it. I hope you would, too.
